A Blues Man with a Funk Fusion Twist
Vince Converse is a true blues man. Having signed professionally out of high school, Vince toured internationally and played with some of the world’s greatest musicians. After a decade-or-so hiatus, Vince is charging back on the scene in a true comeback story, armed with a small fleet of axes and a sober lifestyle. Stronger and more inspired than ever, he is finally putting together the music he “has always wanted to create” with his band, Vince Converse and Big Brother. His style is funky and gritty, with both classic and new blues appeal. Vince’s jaw-dropping guitar solos, hypnotic slide sections, and electrifying arrangements create a truly one-of-a-kind blues experience.
In addition to his band, Vince is also a member of The Rick Lewis Project, featuring a variety of Denver’s top musicians. His new album, Vince Converse and Friends (2023), is a rock-infused, classic blues collaboration that will leave you wanting more. In June of 2023, he was featured on the album, Texas Scratch, featuring Jim Suhler and Buddy Whittington.
Most recently, Vince Converse and Big Brother won the Colorado Blues Society competition, and made it to the Semi-Finals in Memphis, Tennessee.

Vince Converse is a professional blues and funk fusion guitar player living in Denver, Colorado. Wowing audiences with his soul-reaching solos and gritty, low vocals, Vince is a one-of-a-kind blues man. Having signed professionally out of high school, Vince toured internationally and played with some of the greats across the globe. Over the last three decades, Vince has honed his craft and is still dropping jaws - delivering top-rate entertainment.

Emilio Emilio is the cherry on top of the VC & BB Sundae. Vince and Emelio Emelio met in College Station Texas, circa 1995. They were fast friends, loving the art of blues and jazz. Clearly these two share a tenacious spirit and relentless yearning of expression. This multi-instrumentalist has been blessed to be in the company of Al Dimeola, Chuck Berry, Bo Diddley, Eddie Harris and Les MCcan among others. He is happy to be reunited with Vince and excited for this musical journey.

JAMES TORRES
James Torres is a thirty-plus year veteran of the latin jazz, jazz-fusion, and blues Denver Music scene. One of the city’s most prolific piano and organ players, James brings a deep Hammond B3 sound that will hypnotize and carry you away. His piano style is rich with a dark blues feel - but not to worry, James gets mega-funky the on the Clavinet and the Fender Rhodes.

Colorado native Taylor Biskup plunged into the professional music scene in 2003 and has since been performing, recording, writing and touring with various outfits, artists and producers across the U.S. Influenced by an array of music genres and artists, Biskup enjoys blending acoustic, blues, soul, jazz and rock styles into his playing and arrangements.

Wyatt Walker Wear is an extremely talented, and well-trained jazz musician. After graduating from CU Boulder as a shining saxophonist, his skill on the bass has proven just as impressive. He is a quick-fingered, highly creative player with a natural gift to lay down jazz-inspired and technical lines. He is ready to get funky and his solos are slammin’. Wellcome to the band, Wyatt.
