Vince Converse ADDS MILES Jenkins, Kevin Thomas and Releases an album

From Vince: As we say goodbye to last year, I want to thank everyone who came out to live music, all our friends who played in the jams and every musician who showed up gig after gig.

This year, we have some big news. As life happens, sometimes directions change and musical visions evolve.

With that, I am happy to announce that Big Brother is now going in the five-piece direction- adding Miles Jenkins on rhythm guitar. Bringing monster jazz chops and technical skill, his tone delivers pure balance to the blues- you will love what he brings to the table. Miles has a BA in Jazz Studies from CU Boulder and is a true professional on the Denver music scene. He recently played and toured on drumset with Lady Denim, a pop rock band, of Fort Collins.  Outside of this blues adventure, Miles plays drums with Fresh Fruit and Plain Faraday- both top-tier bands with incredible talent- and he can be seen on the Denver jazz circuit. Welcome Miles.

We got a lil logo. Check that out.

But wait! There’s more! Kevin Thomas, one of Colorado’s most talented free-agent drummers, has accepted the role of back man- keeping us in check from start to finish. Kevin brings years of professional music performance and production experience. Post-pandemic, Kevin arrived from the east coast where he established himself immediately on the scene, joining the Johnny O Band of Boulder. Now, he is a regular face in the blues and jam community- playing backline with Denver’s most talented musicians. Kevin, who also shares a jazz background, is dedicated to fine-tuning and honing in on Big Brother’s crisp, funky-yet-technical-sound. Welcome Kevin. Let’s do this.

OH…AND, I put out an album. With my friends- some f*cking bad-ass musicians. It’s legit. I’m excited. MORE on that as the year rolls out. It is not out publicly for streaming, but it is for sale- with a digital version- at gigs! Definitely more about that one later. Thanks to Alley Studios & Sunny Blu as well as the musicians on the album: Nathaniel Peterson -Bass and Vocals, Jim Suhler- Guitar, Buddy Whittington- Guitar, Tommy Mandel - Piano & Organ, Andras “AC” Csapo - Piano & Organ & Harmonica, Jeff Simon- Drums & Percussion and Roger Earl- Drums & Percussion.

I’ve got a YouTube channel. I try to post a “lick of the day” when I have time. Please subscribe.
