Jamaica here…blues notes:
Upon moving to Florida, this is literally the first band we met, and damn, we lucked out! They are a staple around Gulfport, but also the entire Tampa Bay area. They are jazzy, badass, and in my mind, I thought: Josh is like the Jazz version of Vince. The tone is unreal.
In fact, I heard them before Vince even arrived, and I was like, what is actually going on-this guy is nuts! And so is Victoria on that stand up bass. I was immediately like, Vince has got to meet these guys.
Well, of course Vince was wowed, introduced himself, and Josh took Vince’s card (hesitantly)— but, he checked Vince out. Within days, Josh and Vince guitar-geeked out, and I now joke Vince has a man-crush on Josh. They even have the same van (seriously, it’s wild). He comes around and the guys play fast, gypsy insanity in the living room. We are both grateful for meeting them.
They’ve been great- they invite Vince up to play, and by the reception, it appears this town is into the blues.
BEST WELCOME WAGON EVER.
